Product Description:
The DKR03.1-W100B-BE23-01-FW is a digital intelligent AC drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKR Drive Controllers series. It conditions line power and executes motion commands to regulate synchronous and asynchronous motors used in large machining centers, presses, and handling equipment. Integrated control logic and high-speed communication let the unit coordinate multi-axis tasks, while its internal bleeder dissipates regenerative energy during rapid deceleration. This arrangement combines power conversion and closed-loop control in one housing for centralized axis management.
The drive exchanges motion data over a SERCOS interface, allowing fiber-optic networking with CNC or PLC masters. The optical link supports synchronized command updates and fast status exchange between the controller and the higher-level system. When connected to a three-phase mains supply of 400–480 V AC, it delivers up to 26 kW of continuous output at a 4 kHz switching frequency, and the control electronics accept AC 230 V ±10 %. At the same carrier frequency, the power stage can supply a continuous motor current of 71 A. Air forced through an internal blower removes switch losses, and resolver or digital servo feedback returns position and velocity information for closed-loop regulation.
The braking resistor mounted inside the housing converts surplus kinetic energy into heat; it withstands 150 kWs per event and discharges energy at a continuous rate of 1 kW. That thermal load contributes to a total enclosure dissipation of 900 W, which affects cabinet airflow requirements. Because braking energy is handled inside the unit, ventilation must remove both converter losses and resistor heat during repeated deceleration cycles. The unit weighs 49 kg, so the mounting panel must support the load. Design version 1, function module version 01, and line series 03 identify the product build.
