The DKR02.1-W300B is a digital intelligent AC drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKR Drive Controllers series. The unit regulates torque and speed for large servo or spindle motors, allowing coordinated motion sequences in machine tools, printing lines, and other automated stations that require precise high-power control and consistent response during demanding motion cycles. An internal bleeder assembly manages regenerative energy without the need for external hardware, which helps keep the drive cabinet layout more compact.
With a 4 kHz carrier frequency, the drive can supply a continuous output current of 141 A, giving attached motors stable torque during sustained operation. For short acceleration bursts, the peak current rises to 212 A, so rapid indexing or spindle ramp-up can be executed without losing speed stability. Continuous mechanical work is supported by an internal power stage rated at 55 kW, while the integrated brake resistor can dissipate 1.5 kW of regenerative energy during controlled deceleration. When heavier loads are brought to rest, the same resistor safely absorbs up to 240 kWs of braking energy, helping prevent DC-link overvoltage and protect the drive semiconductors.
The power section accepts a three-phase mains supply of 3×AC 400…480 V ±10%, and its logic circuits are fed by a separate AC 230 V ±10% control supply so parameter memory and diagnostics can remain active during mains faults. Heat generated by switching losses is removed through an air channel with a built-in blower, and the overall thermal dissipation is specified at 1800 W. This arrangement supports cabinet airflow planning in typical industrial enclosures without requiring external cooling hardware for the controller itself. Despite its 300 A current class and internal cooling hardware, the device weighs only 104 kg, allowing installation on standard backplanes while preserving access around the unit for cabling.
