Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s DZB01.1-W720N is a drive controller in the DKR Drive Controllers series intended for coordinating high-power servo or spindle axes on automated production lines. By converting DC-bus energy into regulated three-phase output, it provides the velocity and torque commands required by numerically controlled machinery while integrating directly into cabinet-mounted motion platforms used in industrial automation. Reliable operation is permitted up to an installation height of 1000 m without additional cooling. This operating role makes the unit suitable for centralized drive cabinets where multiple motion components share a common power structure and coordinated control.
The unit can deliver a continuous output of 3 kW and momentary surges up to 200 kW, so the connected motor and supply wiring must be sized for both steady-state and transient demand. Thermal management is handled by an internal blower that draws only 0.22 A from a control supply of 24 V DC ±20%. This dedicated airflow keeps the heat sinks within the rated ambient ceiling of 45 °C and allows operation up to a derated limit of 55 °C. The electronics are protected to IP20, so the controller is intended for installation inside a protective cabinet rather than for open exposure on the machine. A measured resistance of 1.8 Ω helps shape current during dynamic braking, and this model uses Design Version 1.
No brake chopper is installed, so a rigid DC bus is used and the power section can absorb braking events totaling 720 kWs before external dissipation is needed. The enclosure has an overall height of 480 mm, a width of 130 mm, and a weight of 15.3 kg, allowing compact placement in standard control cabinets. Long-term storage is acceptable between -30 °C and 80 °C, which helps protect insulation and other internal materials while the controller is kept offline. The narrow housing profile also leaves room for cable routing and neighboring modules in crowded cabinet layouts.
