The DKR03.1-W100B-BE84-01-FW is an AC drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the DKR Drive Controllers series. It converts high-level motion commands into regulated three-phase output for synchronous or asynchronous motors, supplying both motoring and regenerative power for presses, gantry axes, and large printing lines. Digital signal processing, integrated power electronics, and an internal brake resistor let the unit handle rapid deceleration without requiring external braking components. This arrangement makes the controller suitable for compact multi-axis installations that need controlled acceleration, steady torque delivery, and repeatable stopping behavior.

The controller exchanges real-time setpoints through a SERCOS interface, so position loops can close over fiber-optic rings with deterministic timing. Under a 4 kHz PWM carrier, the power stage delivers a continuous armature current of 71 A, which corresponds to about 26 kW of usable motor power. Control logic and sensor supply operate from a separate AC 230 V source, which helps isolate the electronics from disturbances on the power side. Thermal management relies on a built-in air blower that forces cooling air across the heat sinks while the semiconductors switch against a 3x AC 400–480 V mains bus.

The braking path can absorb up to 150 kWs before the resistor reaches its thermal limit, which provides reserve for repeated deceleration in vertical axes or indexing tables. Overall converter losses appear as 900 W of heat, so cabinet airflow or extraction fans must remove that thermal load during operation. Mechanical integration is aided by a mass of 49 kg, and the modular card cage is arranged as line series 03, design version 1, and function module 01. It accepts both digital servo and resolver feedback, allowing the controller to work with legacy motor systems as well as newer closed-loop configurations.
