Product Description:
The DKR03.1-W200N-BT59-01-FW is a digital intelligent AC drive controller produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and included in the DKR Drive Controllers series. Intended for cabinet installation, the device governs large synchronous and asynchronous servo motors used in automated transfer lines and machining centers. By converting fixed mains power into a pulse-width-modulated output, it enables coordinated velocity, position, and torque control through higher-level motion systems. This allows the drive to support demanding axis motion where stable speed regulation and repeatable positioning are required during continuous machine operation.
It operates from a rated supply of 3 x AC 400 ... 480 V, ± 10%, while the logic circuits draw a separate AC 230 V, ± 10% control feed. Communication with the motion controller occurs over a SERCOS interface, allowing deterministic exchange of setpoints and status data. At a switching frequency of 4 kHz, the inverter section provides a continuous armature current of 92 A, yielding around 35 kW of mechanical power when matched to suitable motors. The unit is in Line 03, Version 1, and Function Module Version 01. The DC bus layout does not include a brake chopper, so braking energy must be handled by the surrounding drive system.
Thermal management relies on a built-in air blower that channels ambient air through the heat sink fins. For dynamic demands, the drive can deliver a peak current of 141 A before returning to its continuous rating. During nominal service, the power electronics dissipate about 1200 W, and that heat load must be removed from the enclosure to protect internal components. The unit weighs 49 kg, so it requires secure support inside the cabinet. Feedback inputs accept both digital servo and resolver signals, which gives the controller compatibility with different motor feedback types. The power stage also carries a nominal current rating of 200 A for short-circuit analysis.
