The VLT 2800 Series from Danfoss is a compact, reliable drive system.
The drive series spans from 0.37 kW up to 18.5 kW, which covers most smaller industrial applications. They are either 200-240V or 380-480V supply systems, with single-phase available on the smaller 200V models and three-phase across the board. Output frequency goes from basically zero up to 1000 Hz. What's handy is that they come with brake choppers built right in, along with coated circuit boards that hold up better in dusty or humid environments. They're designed for side-by-side mounting without any derating issues, which helps when cabinet space gets tight. Communication-wise, offering RS-485 serial as standard, supporting both FC protocol and Profidrive. If you need fieldbus connectivity, Profibus DP and DeviceNet modules are available as options. The built-in EMC filtering meets EN 55011-1A requirements with screened cables up to 25 meters, which saves you from having to add external filters in most installations. Efficiency ranges from around 95% on the smaller units up to 97% on the bigger ones. They'll run at full load up to 45°C ambient temperature, with a 24-hour average limit of 40°C. Supply voltage tolerance is ±10%, so they're pretty forgiving with power quality issues.
