The 175G3020 is an internationally renowned frequency controller unit that belongs to the VLT 2800 product series. This controller series was designed and released by Danfoss Automation more than two decades ago and has been widely used for motion control across various industries all over the world ever since. Although the converter series has entered its inactive phase, it is still one of the most efficient and reliable controllers available for purchase in the market. The design of this converter enables the simultaneous connection and control of three industrial motors connected in parallel. In this arrangement, the motor frequency is adjusted together, and the ratio between the speed values for all three motors is maintained. The operation of this product can lead to the production of a leakage current higher than 3.5 milliamperes, which makes it necessary for operators to connect the frequency drive to the ground in accordance with national and local regulations.
The 175G3020 frequency converter will automatically detect errors in its operation and display an appropriate error message to alert operators of the product before significant damage is done to either the product itself or the operator. Over an operation period of 24 hours, the average ambient temperature for this product is expected to be at least 5 degrees Celsius, and not higher than 45 degrees Celsius. The operation of this converter outside this range will necessitate the derating of the rated output current of the product.
The 175G3020 frequency converter connects to the motor through an unscreened/unarmored motor cable as long as 240 feet. Screened cables used can also reach a length of 80 feet.
