The Danfoss 195N0004 is a compact AC variable frequency drive within the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. Designed to regulate the speed of small-to-medium induction motors, the unit converts fixed-frequency utility power into a controlled output that matches changing process demands. Integrated speed regulation allows electronic adjustment of motor operation without relying on mechanical throttling devices. Soft-start and basic protection functions also help reduce mechanical stress during startup and protect connected equipment from common operating faults.
The drive accepts a 200–240 V AC supply through a single-phase feed, making it suitable for light industrial branches with low-voltage, single-phase mains. The housing uses a slim book-style format, allowing multiple drives to be mounted side by side in shallow control panels. Its IP20 protection rating helps prevent accidental contact with live internal parts while permitting ventilation through the enclosure. Conducted emissions are suppressed by an integrated RFI filter rated to EN 55011 Class A1, which can eliminate the need for an external filter in compatible installations. No application option or fieldbus interface is installed, so control signals are routed through the drive’s hardwired inputs and outputs.
Mechanical braking energy is handled by the drive’s standard configuration with a brake, which routes excess DC-bus voltage to an internal brake chopper during rapid deceleration. Operating information is available through the built-in display (SLCP), which shows speed, current, operating status, and alarm codes without requiring separate display equipment. The unit is intended for process applications, with parameter groups that support common pump and fan duties. It is supplied with uncoated electronics, so installation in a clean, controlled cabinet helps protect the internal components from moisture and airborne contaminants. The compact enclosure supports closely spaced installation, but adequate ventilation and the required mounting clearances must be maintained to remove heat during continuous operation.
