The 195N1003 is a variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. This book-style controller converts fixed three-phase mains power into a modulated output that allows process-line pumps, fans, and conveyors to run at the speed required by the application. The drive regulates motor voltage and frequency to support controlled acceleration, deceleration, and continuous operation. Its compact format is suitable for installation in industrial automation panels where available mounting space is limited.
During operation, the drive supplies 0.55 kW of continuous power, which is approximately 0.75 HP, so it can be paired with small IEC induction motors. The input section accepts 380–480 V AC from a three-phase network and maintains a true displacement factor of 0.90, limiting reactive current drawn from upstream switchgear. The mains input permits a voltage tolerance of ±10% and operation at either 50 or 60 Hz, allowing connection to common industrial power systems. An integrated power stage converts the incoming supply into a variable-frequency output for motor speed control. A built-in SLCP display provides access to operating parameters, status information, and alarms. The standard configuration does not include an application option or fieldbus card, so local analog and digital terminals provide the primary control connections.
The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, making it appropriate for installation inside a clean, enclosed control cabinet. Its internal RFI filter complies with EN 55011 Class A1 requirements for conducted emissions. The housing measures 200 mm in height, 75 mm in width, and 168 mm in depth, permitting dense side-by-side mounting in narrow cabinets. The process application profile provides default scaling suitable for flow-control duties involving pumps and fans. Because the electronics do not have a conformal coating, the installation area should remain free from excessive moisture, conductive dust, and corrosive contaminants. The terminal strip supports local analog and digital commands, while the VLT interface provides access to speed references and operating controls. These connections allow the drive to regulate motor speed without requiring an optional communication module.
