Product Description:

The VLT 2800 series low voltage drive 195N0215 is engineered by Danfoss for process applications that require efficient and stable motor control. It carries the specification code of VLT2805PS2B20STR4DBF00A00 and it functions on a mains voltage input of 200 - 240 VAC. The drive is designed for single-phase operation and it delivers a nominal power of 0.55 kW/0.75 hp.

The 195N0215 drive includes a built-in control panel with quick menu and change data buttons. Its panel is equipped with indicators for alarm, warning and operation status. A green start button and a red stop reset button provide direct operation control. The unit comes in a cabinet type compact A-frame design that carries ingress protection of IP20, which makes it suitable for use in controlled environments only. Its hardware configuration is standard and the drive is supplied with an R4 filter that reduces leakage current and it does not include additional fieldbus or application options. The 195N0 drive also has no protective coating on its PCB and it is intended for general indoor use. Its chassis rating of IP20 allows maximum ambient ratings of 45°C at 1.3 kVA and 50°C at 1.1 kVA.

The 195N0215 drive measures 200 mm in height, 75 mm in width, 168 mm in depth and weighs approx. 2.0 kg, with a volume of 16.53 liters. It complies with ECCN EU Y901 and ECCN US 3A999.a classification standards. The drive ensures energy efficient and dependable operations. Its input frequency is 50 or 60 Hz with 4.3 A current and its output is rated for 3 phase 0 to 1000 Hz adjustable frequency with 3.4 A current, along with a kVA rating of 1.3 that makes it effective for small to medium size loads.

Frequently Asked Questions about 195N0215:

Q: How does the built-in R4 filter in the 195N0215 drive contribute to its performance?

A: The R4 filter reduces leakage current, enhancing the drive's compatibility with sensitive equipment and improving overall system stability. This feature is particularly beneficial in environments with strict electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) requirements.

Q: How does the VLT 2800's adjustable frequency range from 0 to 1000 Hz benefit motor control?

A: The wide frequency range allows precise control over motor speed, enabling the drive to accommodate various load conditions and enhance process efficiency. This flexibility is crucial in applications requiring variable speed operations.

Q: What is the advantage of the compact A-frame design?

A: The compact design facilitates easy installation in space-constrained environments, making it ideal for retrofit projects or areas with limited mounting space. Its small footprint does not compromise its performance capabilities.

Q: Why is the chassis rated for a maximum ambient temperature of 50°C at 1.1 kVA?

A: This temperature rating ensures reliable operation in environments with higher ambient temperatures, providing flexibility in various industrial settings. It also indicates the drive's thermal management efficiency.

Q: What is the significance of 4.3 A input current at 50/60 Hz?

A: The specified input current indicates the drive's power consumption, helping in selecting appropriate circuit protection and ensuring efficient energy use. It also aids in designing the electrical infrastructure to support the drive's operation.
