Product Description:
The 195N1073 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series. The unit connects between the mains supply and a three-phase induction motor to modulate voltage and frequency, providing speed regulation in automated conveyors, packaging stations, and HVAC zones. By replacing mechanical throttling with electronic control, it supports energy-efficient operation and can reduce wear on mechanical components in light industrial installations. Its compact design is suitable for control cabinet mounting where direct electronic adjustment of motor speed is required. Hardwired control terminals allow the drive to receive operating commands from compatible automation equipment.
It carries a continuous power rating of 0.75 kW, which corresponds to 1.0 HP at the motor shaft. Under these conditions, the rectifier section accepts an input current of 8.1 A, and the inverter delivers 9.1 A of three-phase output current. Conversion efficiency reaches 96%, so most of the electrical energy is transferred to the connected load rather than dissipated as heat. The drive uses an IP20 enclosure, which provides basic protection against accidental finger contact and requires installation inside a suitable control cabinet. The unit does not include an integral brake, an integral RFI filter, or fieldbus interfaces such as DeviceNet or Profibus DP. Speed commands must therefore be issued through hardwired terminals or analog reference signals. A separate RFI filter is required when the installation must limit conducted electrical emissions.
Thermal losses are rated at 200 W, so the control cabinet must provide sufficient ventilation to prevent excessive heat buildup around the drive. A matching 20 A pre-fuse provides upstream circuit protection and supports coordination with the drive’s short-circuit capacity. The largest permissible motor lead has a cross-sectional area of 4 mm² (AWG 10), allowing conductors to be selected for the intended motor circuit without exceeding the terminal capacity. The unit has an overall mass of 3.7 kg, enabling panel mounting without additional structural support in typical cabinet installations. When DeviceNet or Profibus communication is needed, a compatible external gateway can connect the drive to the selected industrial network. Adequate spacing around the enclosure helps ventilation carry thermal energy away from nearby control components.
