A member of the VLT 2800 series of small, low-voltage drives used in commercial and industrial settings is the Danfoss 178B2303.
This unit has a power rating of 1.5 kW, or 2.0 HP, which makes it a dependable unit that does not sacrifice efficiency or ease of use. It is made with a variety of flexibility since it operates on both three-phase and single-phase voltage inputs. The unit has a compatibility of 200-240 V on single-phase systems, making it compatible with the most common setups. It is used on three-phase systems at 220-240 volts and at 380-480 volts, which makes it suitable to a wide variety of installation settings and applications. The drive has a wide power range with a configuration. When the input is single-phase, the range amounts to 0.37 to 2.2 kW. In three-phase systems with a voltage range of 220 to 480 V, the drive has a power capacity of 0.37 kW. Switching to three-phase operation 380 480 V, it can produce a much greater capacity with a wider power range up to 22 kW.
The 178B2303 can provide a stable and efficient current to the motor by supplying a continuous output current of approximately 3.7 A and a peak of up to 5.9 A, at 380 -480 V. Practicability in installation is one of the unique designs of the VLT 2800 series. This drive has at least 100 mm of required clearance above and below it to ensure appropriate airflow and cooling. But it can be mounted side-by-side, too, without additional spacing, and thus is perfect when space-saving is the crucial issue in the design of a type series of cabinets. The drive is light but sturdy with a net and gross weight of 2.7 kg, having a good weight-to-strength ratio that makes it easy to handle and install.
