Danfoss VLT 2800 is a low-voltage drive that is compact and efficient with flexible motor control in a variety of applications. As a unit of the VLT 2800 Low Voltage Drives series, it is compatible with single-phase or three-phase power supplies and can therefore be customized to meet the demands of any application. The unit operates with input voltages of either 200-240 V or 380-480 V AC, depending on industrial and commercial needs. This drive has a power range of up to 18.5 kW, which is appropriate for small and medium-sized motors. Constructed with IP20 housing, it is designed to be used in controlled indoor applications.
This VLT 2800 drive is small in size (200 x 75 x 168 mm) and light in weight (2.5 kg), and can therefore be installed easily even where space is a constraining factor. It has an output frequency range of 0.2 to 132 Hz, and the range can be extended to 1000 Hz to offer precise control over the speed of the motor. The output voltage may be set within 0-100 percent of the supply voltage. It also sustains the maximum output current of 16.0 A at 240 V. To protect the motor, the drive has an overload capacity of 160/180 percent for one minute and 0.5 seconds, respectively, which ensures a safe and reliable operation.
Besides flexible power and protection options, the Danfoss VLT 2800 has five programmable digital control inputs, a single analogue voltage input, and a single analogue current input, so it can be easily customized and integrated with other systems. It has a switching frequency of 4500 Hz for effective performance.
