The MAC Permanent Magnet Motors are manufactured by Rexroth, Indramat, Bosch and are especially created for high-accuracy servo applications in things like NC machine tools for wood-working and metal machines. They can also be used in production machines in the automotive industry. The MAC Motors are usually used for direction of torque, and control circuit conditioning. The current for the three stator windings are controlled by the position of the rotor, which then gives you a current flow in the stator that is most favorable in relation to the magnetic flux of the rotor. The motor current is controlled by a current controller which is linked to a directional current controller which can then control all three stator windings.
