These permanent magnet-excited motors have low inertia and a high power-to-weight ratio. They are used for applications such as handling equipment, transfer facilities, robotics, and packaging machinery.

The MAC063A-0-RS-4-C/095-B-1/WA604XX is a Bosch Rexroth AC servo motor in the MAC series with a nominal speed of 6,000 revolutions per minute. It has a high cyclic load capacity due to electronic commutation. This makes it suitable for continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. Its designated cooling method is natural convection, where heat is transferred to the ambient air along a temperature gradient. The motor also has a high overload capacity as heat is efficiently dissipated from the stator windings to the outside wall of its housing. There are thermo switches in its windings and stator housing to prevent irreversible damage caused by overheating. Its brushless design and lifetime-lubricated bearings allow it to be operated maintenance-free.

Several ready-made cables are used in the installation of the MAC063A-0-RS-4-C/095-B-1/WA604XX, reducing the workload of installation. They are shielded, having an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to DIN 40 050. The servo motor’s housing also belongs to this protection category as it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to water jet sprays from different directions. As a result, its safe operation in poor environmental conditions is guaranteed. It also has a bearing assembly whose design supports the application of high radial loads. Hence, pinions and belt pulleys can be directly mounted onto its shaft. Additionally, it can be mounted in any orientation.
