The tacho feedback is used for rotor position recognition and speed evaluation of the machine. Incremental encoders work either with sinusoidal signals or square-wave pulses. They can accommodate several different supply voltages. The packaging of the motor comes with a barcode sticker. There is a rating plate attached to the motor’s housing for identification. It also carries technical information about the device. The MAC motor must be mounted to the machine only by fully trained personnel. The device should be grounded to the drive amplifier.
