The MAC160C-0-ED-2-C/250-B-1 is a servo motor from the MAC series produced by the Indramat. The ambient operational condition of temperature for this AC servo motor as suggested by its manufacturer is 0 to 45 degrees centigrade. The appropriate height of installation for better performance from sea level is 0 to 1000 meters. If these conditions are not fulfilled then the motor performance will also be affected by a certain load factor. This load factor for the temperature as mentioned in the product manual of this motor is 0.8 at 55 degrees centigrade. Which means multiplying this load factor with its overall load value. For the elevation, this load factor is 0.8 when the installation height above sea level reaches about 2300 meters.

This motor is very well protected by its housing and covers. The construction and design of this motor follow the DIN 40 050 standard and stick to its guidelines. This protection prevents the motor from any kind of penetration of external objects and water. Its contact guards protect it from any kind of moving or alive parts.

Different parts of the motor have a different level of International Protection (IP) number. The output shaft of this motor with its sealing has an IP rating of 65. The main power supply connection terminals of this motor and its blower motor connection also have the same IP 65 rating. The cooling section of this motor has an IP number of 24 which is significantly lower than the previous. The blower motor also has an IP rating which is 44. This motor has two exposed shafts. One is for main power transmission and the other for accessories. This other shaft end also has an IP rating of 65. The IP rating of 65 indicates that it is dust and jet water spray-proof.
