MAC115B-1-ES-4-C/130-A-1/WI524LV/S001 is a servo motor. It is designed and produced by Bosch Rexroth. The motor has a brushless design with solid state electronic circuits for communication. Electronic commutation provides improved performance and safety. It allows use of MAC motors in environments where brushed motors cannot be used. The motor comes with an axial cooling fan for surface cooling. This cooling method increases airflow across the motor housing for higher rates of heat dissipation. As a result, MAC motors with surface cooling can deliver higher output current and torque. That is why MAC motors with surface cooling are used for applications with higher load requirements. If required, MAC motors can be ordered with radial cooling or without any fan for convection cooling. Bosch recommends 0 to 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature for rated output.
Another requirement for rated output is 0 to 1000 meters site elevation. The recommended ambient temperature for MAC motor storage is -20 to 85 degrees Celsius. The motor must be stored in a dust-free environment which is free of corrosive materials. Protective covers are installed on the connector housing and the output shaft. These covers are made of plastic and protect against moisture and damage. These covers must only be removed shortly before the motor is mounted to the machine. Operators must make sure to avoid impacts on the output shaft as well as heavy loads as otherwise the motor bearings can suffer damage. Suitable transport and lifting devices, that take motor size and weight into consideration, should be used for the motors. Separate connections are provided on the MAC115B-1-ES-4-C/130-A-1/WI524LV/S001 motor for power and feedback connections. The respective cables must be routed separately to prevent interference.
