MAC090C-1-GD-4-C/110-A-2/WA604XX/S013 is a MAC series motor with a heavy-duty blocking brake. This brake is designed to prevent motor shaft rotation. Its purpose is to prevent accidents and injuries occurring due to accidental shaft rotation. The brake only releases the shaft after it receives a 24 Volts DC signal. Holding torque rating of the brake is 14 Nm. A standard blocking brake with 6.5 Nm holding torque is also available for MAC90C series servo motors. MAC motors support multiple cooling methods including convection cooling and surface cooling. The MAC090C-1-GD-4-C/110-A-2/WA604XX/S013 motor is equipped with an axial cooling fan that produces airflow parallel to the axis of rotation. Voltage rating of the fan is 230 Volts AC. Radial cooling fans, which produce airflow that is perpendicular to the axis of rotation, are also available for MAC motors.

Nominal speed of the MAC090C-1-GD-4-C/110-A-2/WA604XX/S013 motor is 3000 RPM. The power plug is on side A of the IP65 rated servo motor housing. Bosch recommends professional handling and installation for MAC motors. Heavy motors may only be transported with the use of suitable lifting devices. Impacts and heavy loads and the output shaft must be prevented to protect the motor bearings from damage. Only trained personnel should mount the motors to the machine. The motor must be grounded to the drive amplifier. Terminal diagrams provided by the e machine manufacturer should be followed when wiring the motor. The motors must be stored in a dry, dust-free and shock-free environment where the ambient temperature is between -25 and 85 degrees Celsius. The plastic protective covers on the connector housing and output shaft should not be removed until the time of motor mounting.
