MAC063D-0-JS-4-C/095-B-1/WA612XX/S001 is a convection-cooled servo motor. Convection cooling is a method that relies on movement of ambient air over the working motor. If required, operators can order surface-cooled MAC motors that provide higher levels of output torque and current. Ambient specifications for the motor include 0 to 45 degrees Celsius temperature and 0 to 1000 meters elevation. The motors must be stored in a dry, dust-free and shock-free environment. Permissible ambient temperature range for storage is -25 to +85 degrees Celsius. There are protective covers on the connector housing and on the output shaft. These covers are made of plastic and protect the parts they cover against moisture and damage. Operators must not remove the protective covers until shortly prior to mounting into the machine. Operators must protect the output shaft from impacts and heavy loads; otherwise the bearings in the motor can be damaged.

Heavier motors may only be transported with the use of suitable lifting devices as described in the product manual. The motor should only be mounted to the machine by fully trained personnel. The motor must be grounded to the drive amplifier. The terminal diagrams of the machine manufacturer should be followed when wiring the motor. Speed rating of the MAC063D-0-JS-4-C/095-B-1/WA612XX/S001 motor is 3500 RPM. It supports tacho feedback for position and speed feedback. A standard tacho generator is installed on the motor. A 3 Nm rated blocking brake is also installed on the motor. The motor housing is IP65 rated. Centering diameter of the MAC motor is 95 millimeters. Length of the motor is approximately 200 millimeters. A 100 millimeter flange with four mounting holes allows secure servo motor mounting.
