The MAC071B-0-FS-4-C/095-A-0/WI520LV/S001 AC servomotor is designed to be used with drive controllers in a wide variety of machine tools, robotics, textile machines, printing presses, handling equipment, and transfer facilities. The device is a permanent magnet-excited motor with electronic commutation. The permanent magnet of the rotor comprises materials which make it possible to construct motors with very low inertia. The brushless design of the motor and the use of lifetime lubricated bearings facilitate maintenance-free operation. The temperature of the MAC servomotor is monitored with thermo switches that are integrated into the motor windings and stator housing to prevent overload damage. The power, tacho feedback, and encoder cables are connected directly to the device using connectors on the corresponding flanged sockets. The motor is protected by its housing and cover which in design and construction adhere to the guidelines found in DIN 40 050 specifications. This offers protection against contact with motor parts either moving or alive, penetration by extrinsic objects, and penetration of water. The output shaft of the servomotor is always equipped with a shaft sealing. The product has both radial and axial blowers for surface cooling. The servomotor is not equipped with a holding brake. The nominal motor speed of the device is 2000 per minute. Its rotor moment of inertia is 9.9 x 10-4 kgm2. The housing of the unit is painted with a black prime coat. An extra layer of paint can cover this prime coat. However, the thickness of the layer should not exceed 40 mm. The prime coat of the servomotor is resistant to yellowing, weathering, chalky accumulation, diluted acids, and lye. If the housing of the device is frequently cleaned with a steam cleaner, the coat can peel.
