The MHD Synchronous Motors from Bosch Rexroth Indramat comprise a range of permanent-magnet servo motors designed for high-precision industrial automation and intended for operation with Rexroth digital drive controllers.
These motors use electronic commutation and a brushless, maintenance-free construction with lifetime grease-lubricated bearings to support continuous start/stop duty and high repeat cycles. The series is engineered for industrial environments with a fully closed IP65 design and integrated motor-temperature monitoring to support overload protection. For dynamic motion performance, MHD motors are designed for a high torque-to-inertia ratio, high overload capability through efficient stator heat dissipation, and the ability to deliver peak torque across a wide usable speed range. For machine integration and feedback, variants include standardized DIN-style flange mounting, plain or keyed shafts (including versions intended for belt pulley/pinion mounting), optional 24 VDC holding brakes for standstill holding, and integrated digital servo feedback in either relative or multiturn absolute configurations.
