This means the motor is designed to have a stated frequency and zero phase difference. It is an MHD motor of motor length 'C' with a motor size of 095. The winding code is numbered 024 but its shaft is plain and fitted with a streamlined shaft sealing ring. The design is made to allow cooling on surface and natural convection.
The MHD095C-024-PG0-AN has three types of cooling and overtemperatures that can be applied. They are the Natural 60K, Natural 100K and Surface 60K/100. Under these are parameters. One of such is the electrical torque which is continuous at standstill, in respect to the aforementioned types of cooling are, 15Nm, 17Nm and 22.5Nm. Rated Data of the MHD095C-024-PG0-AN motor as recorded under the types of cooling include; Rated Voltage: 292V, 297V and 310V; Rated Performance: 2.7kW, 4.0kW and 6.4kW; Rated Current: 5.4A, 7.9A and 12.3A; and Rated Torque: 11.3Nm, 16.3Nm and 25.5Nm. Other parameters measured according to the types of cooling are the Minimum strand cross section which is constant across all types of cooling at 1.5mm² while time constant differs at Surface 60K/100thus: 40min, 40min and 20min. The Rated Speed is constant in the different types of cooling at 2000min–¹ and the same goes for the Rated Frequency which is constant at 133Hz.
The MHD095C-024-PG0-AN weighs 22.5kg. Worthy of note are the other mechanical parameters which consists of the Maximum Speed at 4500min–¹, theoretical maximum torque at 88Nm and the rotors moment of inertia at 61.3×10–⁴kgm². During storage, the permanent temperature of the motor should be within the limits of -20°C to 80°C. When in use, surrounding temperature should range from 0°C to 40°C. The maximum height limit for setup is 1000m above MSL. Please make reference to the Environmental Conditions chapter to fully comprehend these instructions. The motor is protected by an IP65 standard provided there are proper mountings of the encoder and power cables. The insulation has an 'F' class rating. A prime coat black in a/w RAL 9005 is used as housing varnish. Please carefully read the instructions that are written in the Operations Manual so as to optimize the use of the machine and safely handle its parts.
