The Bosch MHD115A-024-NP0-AA is a MHD series synchronous servo motor. Depending on the application requirements and load, the motor can be cooled through natural convection or surface cooling. Natural convection relies on ventilation and smooth flow of cool air over the motor body. Surface cooling relies on an increased rate of air flow over the motor body. This increased rate of air flow is provided by a fan or blower. Bosch provides optional fan units for MHD motors that can be specified at the time of ordering. The MHD115A-024-NP0-AA is compatible with two different optional fan units. Both of these fan units provide axial cooling and produce air flow in the “blowing” direction. Specifications for the LEM-AB112X121 fan unit include 230 Volts rated voltage, 45 / 43 VA power consumption, 0.31 / 0.25 Amps rated current, 340 m³/hour mean air volume, and 48 / 52 dB noise level.

Specifications for the LEM-AB112X221 fan unit include 115 Volts rated voltage, 40 / 39 VA power consumption, 0.53 / 0.46 Amps rated current, 390 m³/hour mean air volume, and 48 / 52 dB noise level. When operated with surface cooling, the motor can deliver 48 Nm continuous torque at standstill and 32.6 Amps continuous current at standstill. When operated with natural convection, the motor can deliver up to 36.5 Nm continuous torque at standstill and 25 Amps continuous current at standstill. Integrated features on the MHD115A-024-NP0-AA motor include a shaft with key and sealing ring, support for digital servo feedback and power connector on side A. The MHD115A-024-NP0-AA does not feature a holding brake. Rated speed of the MHD115A-024-NP0-AA motor is 2000 RPM and its weight is 30 kilograms.
