The holding brake needs to be specified at the time of motor ordering. The shaft on the MHD112A-035-NG0-AN is plain. The shaft includes a sealing ring that protects motor bearings and prevents oil leakage. The housing of the motor is completely sealed. The cable connectors are also sealed. As a result the MHD112A-035-NG0-AN has a protection rating of IP65. This excellent rating allows the motor to be used even under adverse environmental conditions. The motor can be installed outside cabinets and near operating machinery, which leads to reduced cables runs and also reduces costs associated with operation and maintenance.
