The Bosch Rexroth MHD112C-024-NP3-AN is a synchronous motor. The speed of a synchronous motor is synchronized to the frequency of the input current. The input current is supplied by a servo drive controller. The purpose of the drive controller is to provide motor power and control motor speed and torque. The digital servo feedback feature on the MHD112C-024-NP3-AN allows the motor to share feedback with the connected drive controller. The MHD112C-024-NP3-AN includes an integrated holding brake with 70 Nm holding torque. The brake releases when a 24 Volts DC signal is applied. The current drawn by the holding brake is 1.29 Amps.
