Bosch Rexroth is recognized as one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of high-quality drive and motion control products. It is the designer and manufacturer of the synchronous servo motors of the MHD series. These motors form rapid-response systems when they are combined with intelligent digital drive controllers from Indramat. They also display high operational reliability and low inertia mass.

The MHD115B-024-PG1-AN is a servo motor in Bosch Rexroth’s MHD series. It features a temperature monitoring system with thermal sensors in its windings to prevent damage from overload. Heat is also efficiently eliminated from the stator windings to the walls of the motor housing; hence it has a high overload capability. The motor encoder system in this MHD model is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder. This encoder has a system accuracy of ±0.5 angular minutes and uses the optical measuring principle. Its data storage feature enhances the quick commissioning of the motor and its safe adaptation to its compatible drive controller.

Because of the completely sealed housing of the MHD115B-024-PG1-AN, the motor can be operated with minimal risks under poor environmental conditions. It has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529 and is coated in a prime black coat. This coat is resistant to weathering, coloring, and the buildup of chalky residue. It also displays resistance against diluted acids and lyes. The holding brake of this MHD model has a holding torque of 70Nm and works with the principle of electrical release. It holds the motor axis when the machine is de-energized. There is also a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring in the motor for a friction-locked shaft-hub connection without play.
