The application areas of MHD Motors include machine tools, automation, and handling machines, packaging and food processing machines, printing and paper processing machines.

The feedback system of the MHD093C-035-PP0-AA is digital servo feedback with an integrated multiturn absolute encoder which aids in controlling the motor speed and defining its position. It has a peak current of 83.5 A and a maximum speed of 4,500 revolutions per minute. This motor’s output shaft has a key according to DIN 6885-1 and a shaft sealing ring. Furthermore, this MHD model can be cooled by natural convection or surface cooling. This cooling system gives it a high overload capability as heat leaves from the stator windings to the housing wall. The motor housing is closed and coated with a black varnish that allows it to function under adverse conditions and protects it from damaging substances. Its protection rating category is IP 65, and it is protected from contact, dust, and water jet.
