The Bosch Rexroth MHD115B-024-NP0-BA is a synchronous servo motor. It is deployed with a controller that provides power and controls motor speed and position. There are four options for the power connector location on the motor housing. The location is specified at the time of motor ordering. The power connection on the MHD115B-024-NP0-BA motor is on side B of the housing. The MHD115B-024-NP0-BA does not include an integrated holding brake. Optional holding brakes are available and can be ordered as per customer requirements. The main motor shaft includes a key and a seal. MHD motors can also be ordered with plain shafts. The function of the shaft seal is to protect motor bearings and prevent oil leakage. Housing of the MHD115B-024-NP0-BA is suited to two cooling methods: natural convection and surface cooling.

Both of these cooling methods rely on flow of cool air over the body of the operating motor. Surface cooling is used when the motor is operating under higher loads. It requires cooling fans or blowers to increase the flow of air across the motor body. Natural convection is used when the motor is operating under relatively lower loads. It relies on the flow of ambient air over the motor body. The MHD115B-024-NP0-BA is designed to operate optimally when the ambient temperature is between 0 and 1000 degrees, and when the site elevation is between 0 and 1000 meters. The output of the motor derates if the motor is used outside these specified ambient conditions. The MHD115B-024-NP0-BA supports integrated digitals servo feedback. Length of the motor is 431 millimeters, and its centering diameter is 180 millimeters. Size of the flange on the motor is 192 millimeters.
