The MHD115A-058-NG0-AN is a Bosch Rexroth MHD series synchronous motor. It is designed for natural convection and liquid cooling. MHD motors with the surface cooling option - that come with a cooling fan - are also available. The motor is designed for operation at temperatures lying between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius and at altitudes lying between 0 and 3300 feet. The technical data specified in the motor documentation are valid for these ambient conditions. Any deviation from these recommended conditions leads to motor output derating. MHD motors are permanent magnet motors designed for use in machine tools, automation, handling and food machines. The motors are maintenance-free, support overload capability and include overload protection. The main shaft on the MHD115A-058-NG0-AN is smooth and includes a seal. MHD motors with a key are also available if required.

The flange size and centering diameter of the MHD115A-058-NG0-AN motor are 192 millimeters and 180 millimeter respectively. Digital servo feedback is supported through an integrated digital encoder. The MHD115A-058-NG0-AN motor is supplied without a holding brake. Optional holding brakes are available from Bosch for MHD115A motors. The motor gets electrical power from the drive controller. The cable carrying the electrical power connects to a power socket on side A of the motor housing. The characteristic motor speed is 4000 RPM and the maximum speed is 6000 RPM. The rated speed depends on operating conditions and cooling method: it is 2000 RPM with natural convection at 60K overtemperature, 3000 RPM with natural convection at 100K overtemperature and 3000 RPM with liquid cooling. The mass of the MHD115A-058-NG0-AN is approximately 30 kilograms. Degree of protection provided by the motor housing is IP65.
