The CR06502 is an industrial motor drive produced by Kollomorgen to accurately and precisely control synchronous and induction motors used in industrial production systems. This controller is unlike conventional control devices as it is designed to carry out a closed-loop operation; this allows it to independently correct any deviation of the motor from the specified configurational parameters. This controller is also an environmentally friendly device that does not generate any fume or noise during operation; it also contains a high metal content and can be recycled and used to produce new devices once its usefulness as a motor controller has been exhausted. The CR06502 industrial controller is perfectly safe for industrial application; however, the configuration, installation, and general operation of this controller should be done by a competent operator who has gone through the instructions documentation of the controller; this is important as the wring handling of this motor drive can cause sudden machine brake down or dangerous movements in the servo motor.

The heat generated by the CR06502 industrial controller is regulated via forced ventilation; thus, a clearance of about 70 millimeters should be observed to allow for the easy movement of cool air into the controller and the smooth dissipation of hot air from the housing of the controller. The electrical components of this controller generate an electromagnetic wave during operation; thus, persons wearing sensitive devices such as hearing aids, cardiac pacemakers, and metal implants should not be allowed to move near the controller.

The CR06502 industrial controller operates with a rated current of 6 amperes; it also contains an analog communication interface that controls the exchange of digital information between the drive and all other parts of the servo system.
