The M Goldline Servo Motors from Kollmorgen comprise a medium-inertia brushless servomotor series developed as an extension of the B-series for applications with compliant loads or larger inertia mismatches.
The series uses the Goldline interior permanent magnet motor design to provide high torque and power density in a compact package, while the increased rotor inertia supports more stable system matching where a very low-inertia motor is not ideal. M-series motors are offered in 70 to 190 mm square frame sizes with continuous torque ratings spanning 0.84 to 149 N·m, standard resolver feedback, and maximum recommended speeds up to 7,500 RPM. Standard construction features include a built-in thermostat, Class H insulation, rear shaft extension, UL recognition, and a high torque-to-volume ratio suited for demanding servo applications. Available configuration options include front-mounted gearheads, fail-safe brakes, IP65 or IP67 sealing, encoder feedback, NEMA mountings, and mating connectors for broader machine integration.
