Kollmorgen’s S400 series is a digital servo amplifier/drive platform for closed-loop control of brushless synchronous servomotors in torque, speed, and position applications.
The series is built around modular master and axis modules, and one master can be combined with up to seven axis modules for multi-axis machine architectures. Available configurations include voltage classes for 115/230 V and 230/400 V systems. The platform supports a broad range of feedback devices, including resolver, incremental encoder, sine encoder variants, and digital feedback interfaces such as BiSS, EnDat 2.1, and HIPERFACE, along with encoder emulation functions. S400 units also support machine-integration features such as DC bus linking, external brake resistor and capacitor module connection on master units, electronic gearing/master-slave operation, step/direction input, and optional CANopen, PROFIBUS, SERCOS, or EtherCAT communication.
