The SR and SRF Permanent Magnet DC Motors series consists of SCR-rated PMDC motors built to NEMA standards for general industrial duty applications.
Within these two series, available ratings include 90 V models from 1/8 to 1 HP and 180 V models from 1/4 to 3 HP, with standard base speed listed at 1750 RPM. The motor design uses permanent magnets rather than a wound field, which supports a more compact and efficient construction along with a broad operating speed range and a highly linear speed-torque relationship. Standard construction features include Class H armature insulation, anti-cogging magnets for smoother low-speed performance, a robust commutator design, and constant-force brush hardware intended for long service life. The broader series construction also includes options such as TEFC and TENV configurations, sealed bearings, replaceable brushes, and NEMA or metric mounting arrangements.
