Goldline Smart Drives are high-performance brushless sinusoidal servo controllers that use closed-loop feedback and digital compensation, and can be configured for modes like velocity control, torque (current) control, pulse-follower operation, and electronic gearing.
The series spans multiple current ratings, with lower-current amplifiers integrating the power supply and higher-current systems using modular external supplies to support larger loads. Position and velocity loops are fully digital, enabling self-tuning, very low velocity offset, and repeatable setup by transferring the same parameter file between axes without potentiometers or plug-in compensation hardware. For integration, the drives accept common pulse-train command formats and provide serial communications via RS-232 for point-to-point connections or RS-422/RS-485 multidrop networking that can place up to 15 axes on one line, with the Motion Link PC environment used for configuration and monitoring. High-resolution sinusoidal current commutation with a fast update rate delivers smooth low-speed motion and strong high-speed torque, while built-in diagnostics report faults on a seven-segment display and store recent errors in non-volatile memory that can also be reported over the serial port.
