The FSM Brushless Servo Motors are medium-inertia permanent-magnet servo motors designed for demanding motion applications such as web processing, machine tools, textile equipment, and CAM replacement systems.
The series includes two frame sizes and six models, with continuous torque ratings from 3.5 to 27.7 Nm, peak torque up to 56.5 Nm, and speeds up to 4000 RPM. These motors use ferrite permanent-magnet rotors to provide higher rotor inertia for better matching with larger load inertias in heavy-duty continuous-operation applications. For control and protection, the series uses a motor-mounted optical encoder with 2000 quadrature pulses, index pulse, and commutation channels, along with an internal thermal switch for overheating indication.
