The Kollmorgen AKT IO Terminals series is a modular remote I/O platform for Kollmorgen Automation Suite systems that combines an EtherCAT bus coupler with terminal slices for distributed machine-level signal handling.
The series includes bus couplers, digital and analog input terminals, digital and analog output terminals, thermocouple modules, relay and stepper terminals, isolation modules, power-feed terminals, and an end terminal for completing the block. A single AKT I/O block supports up to 64 connected slices including the end module, while the coupler can exchange as much as 1024 bytes of input data and 1024 bytes of output data with the EtherCAT network. Power distribution within the series is structured around 5 V logic supply from the coupler and a 24 V output bus rated at 10 A, with additional 24 V capacity available through power-feed modules and electrical segmentation available through isolation terminals. The AKT IO Terminals series is intended for distributed control architectures that require flexible terminal combinations, direct DIN-rail installation, and application-specific handling of digital, analog, thermal, relay, and stepper I/O functions.
