The MX Hazardous Duty Stepper Motors series is a line of explosion-proof hybrid stepper motors designed for use in hazardous locations classified as Class I, Division 1 and 2, Group D.
The series is offered in 90 mm and 110 mm frame sizes and uses a 2-phase, 200-step-per-revolution design with a 1.8° step angle for indexed motion control. Available configurations include different stack lengths and winding options, with holding torque values ranging from 1.27 N·m to 9.82 N·m and operating speeds reaching up to 3000 RPM depending on the model and drive voltage. The motors use leadwire connections, support unipolar or bipolar windings, and include available options such as shaft modifications, rear shaft extensions, and special windings. Across the series, operating temperature is rated from -20°C to +40°C, insulation voltage rating is 340 VDC, and the motors are built to meet hazardous-duty and CE compliance requirements.
