The SL3000 AC Motor Drives series is a retired Kollmorgen family of variable frequency AC drives for induction-motor applications.
The series was offered in 200–230 VAC and 380–460 VAC classes and was designed to provide adjustable-speed control for AC motors in industrial systems. The drive platform uses microprocessor-based control and includes functions such as dynamic braking, DC injection braking, constant-torque operation, and configurable speed control. The series was built as an AC drive platform rather than as a servo amplifier, with features aimed at general motor control, machine integration, and parameter-based setup. The SL3000 series fits legacy installations that use Kollmorgen variable frequency drive hardware for controlled AC motor operation.
