Kollmorgen’s S600 series is a family of digital servo drives/servo amplifiers that includes models in the 601 through 620 range for standard single-axis applications, with the series organized by supply class and current rating variants.
The series supports a wide set of motor feedback options, including resolver, incremental encoder, sine encoder variants, and digital feedback interfaces such as BiSS, EnDat 2.1, and HIPERFACE. S600 units can be configured with fieldbus and network expansion options including DeviceNet, PROFIBUS, SERCOS, EtherCAT, and SynqNet, and the platform also includes I/O expansion and a dual-CAN expansion module option. The series includes practical motion-system integration features such as DC bus linking, external brake resistor connection, capacitor module support, motor holding brake control, electronic gearing/master-slave operation, and step/direction interfacing. S600 drives also provide setup and diagnostics through LED/key operation and PC connection, along with built-in warning/error handling support, emergency-stop integration concepts, and an optional restart-lock function variant.
