The SERVOSTAR SC series is an industrial servo amplifier platform intended to drive compatible Kollmorgen brushless synchronous servomotors with closed-loop control of torque, speed, and position.
The family includes multiple current classes and supports different feedback options (resolver, digital encoder, or sine-encoder style feedback), with the drive’s control architecture built around dedicated current, commutation, velocity, and position loops. Installation is based on a separate 24 VDC logic supply plus AC mains input, with higher-power wiring brought to the drive’s L1/L2/L3 terminals and motor power connected at the M1/M2/M3 terminals. Configuration, motor selection, and loop tuning are performed through the vendor software tools over either Ethernet or serial communications, with guidance for startup and parameter changes handled through the setup wizards and terminal commands. For integration and serviceability, the drive provides configurable I/O, a front-panel status display that indicates operating states, and a fault monitoring system with defined error reporting and troubleshooting workflow.
