ICD Ironcore Direct Drives

The ICD Ironcore Direct Drives series is a family of ironcore linear direct drive motors designed for applications that require direct linear force generation without mechanical transmission components.

The series includes compact and larger coil formats with different force and speed characteristics, while sharing common performance categories such as continuous force at 25 °C, peak force, continuous and peak current, force constant, back EMF constant, inductance, and DC resistance. These motors are also defined by mechanical characteristics including motor constant, thermal resistance, coil mass, magnet way mass, and attractive force, which are important for sizing and thermal design in linear motion systems. The series uses a low-profile form factor over the magnet way and is available with Hall sensors, with dimensions specified by coil length, coil width, and installed height over the track. Overall, the ICD series is intended for direct-drive linear motion applications where force density, compact geometry, and predictable electromagnetic and thermal characteristics are important.
