The Kollmorgen P7000 Stepper Drives series is a family of digital microstepping drives designed to power 2-phase stepper motors in industrial single-axis and multi-axis motion systems.
The series includes both DC-input and AC-input versions, with the P70530 operating from 20 to 75 VDC and the P70360 accepting 120 or 240 VAC, while supported motor frame sizes extend from NEMA 17 through NEMA 42 depending on the drive model. Core motion-control functions include microstepping with selectable step resolution from 200 to 50,000 steps per revolution, motor stall detection without external feedback, motor wave-shape tuning, dynamic smoothing, mid-band anti-resonance control, and adjustable idle-current reduction. The drives use optically isolated step, direction, and enable inputs, provide nine configurable digital inputs and a configurable fault output, and can be set up through onboard switches or the P7000Tools software utility. Depending on version, the P7000 platform also offers indexing capability for up to 63 programmed moves and optional Modbus RTU communication, making it suitable for step-and-direction applications as well as more self-contained motion-control tasks.
