The 6SM Synchronous Servo Motors series is a family of brushless servo motors built for demanding motion applications such as industrial robots, machine tools, textile machinery, packaging machinery, and transfer systems.
Across the series, the motors use permanent-magnet rotors with rare-earth neodymium-iron-boron magnetic material and three-phase stator windings to support high dynamic performance and stable servo operation. The motors are designed to operate with compatible SERVOSTAR servo amplifiers under speed or torque control, using electronic commutation rather than brushes. Standard series features include integrated winding temperature monitoring, resolver feedback, optional holding brake configurations, and protection ratings up to IP65 in standard versions. Depending on the model, the series also offers multiple motor sizes, torque and speed classes, and optional features such as encoder feedback, shaft sealing, and separately driven fan cooling for increased torque capability.
