The SERVOSTAR PD series is a compact, high-performance servo drive designed for closed-loop motion control with selectable torque, velocity, and position operating modes.
It is packaged in a small form factor and supports DC bus operation across a wide voltage range, with models sized for lower continuous-current applications and a separate 24 VDC logic supply. Command and integration options span analog ±10 V input, pulse/direction and encoder-following style position control, and an optional SERCOS fiber-optic interface, while setup and diagnostics are handled through a Windows-based software environment over the serial communications port. The drive supports multiple feedback device types (including encoder, resolver, sine encoder, and halls-only configurations) and can provide an encoder-equivalent output to reduce the need for additional feedback hardware. Built-in protection and monitoring include configurable voltage and thermal safeguards with foldback behavior, hardware and software position limiting, and fault reporting/logging with a front status display for quick troubleshooting.
