Kollmorgen DBL synchronous servomotors are permanent-magnet brushless servo motors designed for high-dynamics industrial motion systems such as robots, machine tools, and transfer equipment.
The series spans multiple frame sizes from 37 mm to 240 mm flange formats and covers standstill torque ratings from about 0.1 Nm up to 115 Nm, giving it a broad usable range for precision servo applications. DBL motors use electronic commutation with a three-phase stator winding, and the standard feedback device is a resolver, with single-turn and multiturn EnDat encoder options available on supported models. Standard construction features include IEC-style flange mounting, insulation class F, integrated thermal protection, IP65 motor protection, and an IP54 shaft bushing that can be upgraded to IP65 with a shaft-seal option. The series is also available with application-specific mechanical options such as a holding brake, keyway shaft, vertical connector orientation, and alternate connector arrangements to simplify machine integration.
