The Kollmorgen VLM Brushless Motors series is a family of value-line brushless servo motors designed for applications that need standard servo performance in a lower-cost package.
The series includes VLM2 and VLM3 frame groups with NEMA and metric mounting options, multiple winding choices, several shaft configurations, and feedback selections that include halls, resolver, encoder, and Smart Feedback Device. Across the range, the motors are intended for use with 120/240 Vac servo drive systems, support winding options optimized for 75, 160, and 320 Vdc bus levels, and offer rated speeds up to 6,000 rpm. The smaller VLM2 models cover torque levels up to about 1.2 N·m continuous and 4.2 N·m peak, while the larger VLM3 models extend that range up to about 4.5 N·m continuous and 15.9 N·m peak. The series is intended for machine designs that need compact brushless servo motors with standard mounting, flexible feedback choices, and direct connection options for Kollmorgen drive platforms.
