MSM servomotors come in five different frame sizes with a mechanical continuous motor output of 750 W. They are characterized by high power density combined with short frame lengths and minimized flange dimensions. These servomotors come with IP 54 degrees of protection as per IEC 529 specifications and can be installed both horizontally and vertically. MSM servomotors are always equipped with absolute encoders and may or may not have holding brakes. The motors with 0xxx windings code are meant to be used in conjunction with IndraDrive Cs drive controllers that have a nominal voltage rating of 3 x 230 VAC. On the other hand, motors with Rxxx windings code are designed to be operated with NYCe4000 controllers with 3 x 100 VAC nominal voltage rating. • MSM servomotors are characterized by a high degree of precision because of their single-turn or multi-turn absolute encoders.
• The Indramat servomotors are designed to be operated at a temperature range of 0 °C to 40 °C and an installation altitude of 0m to 1000m above sea level. These maximum limits should not exceed 55° C and 4000 meters respectively.
• These servomotors feature the 3K3 climatic category as per IEC 721 specifications during their operation.
• The servomotors are equipped with a smooth and plain shaft for non-positive shaft hub connections without play and excellent running smoothness. They incorporate a keyway shaft for form-locking transmission of torques with low requirements on the shaft-hub connection and constant direction.
• MSK servomotors are subject to radial and axial forces on their shafts and bearings during operation. The permissible limits for these forces must not be exceeded.

MSK series of servomotors experience a change of thermal coupling with respect to the machine they are attached to if they are fitted with transmissions. The amount of heat generated at the transmission also depends on the type of transmission. The motor shaft and bearings tend to encounter an unacceptably high load when extremely rigid couplings are mounted.

These servomotors must be used with self-bearing driving elements that are connected to the shaft through axially compensated couplings.
