VT 1600 servo amplifiers are Eurocard-format electronic amplifier cards used to drive servo (pilot) valves in systems that do not use an LVDT spool feedback signal, converting a command input into a proportional valve current for closed-loop hydraulic control.
The cards include an onboard voltage-stabilizing supply arrangement, a front-mounted current meter for quick verification of valve current, and an internal control structure that can be configured as PI, PD, or full PID to match position-control or constant-velocity style loops. Key tuning values are adjusted with internal potentiometers accessible from the front plate, and the control path can be arranged to use the internal PID section or bypass it for direct command operation depending on jumper and wiring configuration. Powering is supported either from a regulated ±15 V supply or from a higher-voltage dual supply where the card’s regulators create the required internal control rails, and the output stage provides valve-drive current with superimposed dither to reduce hysteresis. For installation, the cards are designed to mount in Eurocard magazines/card holders that simplify assembly and wiring, provide a stable mechanical package, and add EMC shielding for use in industrial environments.
