The DKS Intelligent Digital Servo Drives are microprocessor-controlled digital AC servo drives that combine the power supply and servo control electronics in a compact basic unit intended for cabinet installation.
The drives are shipped as configured units by adding a command interface card such as SERCOS, analog with incremental or absolute encoder emulation, or a single-axis positioning card, a software module that stores operating software and parameters, and optional auxiliary plug-in cards for functions like binary I/O or external measuring-system interfaces. Standard features include an integrated protection system for power shutoff, integral dynamic braking to decelerate and stop the axis during internal faults, programmable error reactions, and inrush current limiting that reduces input-fusing/circuit-breaker sizing concerns. The platform provides extensive diagnostics with an alphanumeric display and supports integrated control and monitoring of a motor holding brake. DKS compact units are designed for direct connection to 230 VAC systems, are available in multiple current classes (30 A, 50 A, and 100 A), and are used with MDD digital AC servo motors for applications such as CNC axes, robotics, handling systems, and packaging/printing machinery.
